MYOB champions business bravery in Broadsheet and The Design Files co-produced content series

17 Jul 2019

Business technology company MYOB has struck a unique partnership with Melbourne-based publishers Broadsheet and The Design Files to launch a cross-platform, cross-content campaign to celebrate business bravery.

For both publishers, the series represents the first time they have worked on a co-produced branded content campaign.

‘We, The Brave,’ is a six-part content series profiling inspiring small business owners who have demonstrated bravery in their pursuits of business success and illustrates how MYOB has helped them succeed in business. The content is designed to provide a source of inspiration for any individual seeking to start a new business, against all odds.

Lauren Nikolareas, Brand Media & Partnerships Manager for MYOB, said “We, The Brave,” is part of a broader campaign designed to share the inspirational stories of business success.

“We’re delighted to partner with Broadsheet and The Design Files to tell these stories of ambition, their ingenuity and creativity and their unparalleled passion for what they do. We believe the campaign will resonate strongly with other entrepreneurs and inspire the next generation of successful Australian businesses.”

The featured talent includes Melbourne mural artist Danielle Weber, Sydney-based restaurateur Junda Khoo of Ho-Jiak and award-winning landscape designer Phillip Withers, in addition to others across the pillars of food, art and design.

Broadsheet National Sales Director Christina Voss said the partnership between Broadsheet and The Design Files made sense as playing to each publisher’s strengths would allow them to deliver a multi-faceted campaign.

“Broadsheet and The Design Files have both been supporting businesses in Australia over the past decade, so it made sense for us to partner together with MYOB to showcase inspiring individuals who have demonstrated bravery in their business and accounting journey. We worked to our strengths and both publishers showcased talent that tied in to our individual content pillars.”

Being a small business owner herself, the project was a natural fit for Lucy Feagins, Founder and Editor of The Design Files.

“The Design Files has championed Australian small businesses for over a decade, and we know the challenges and rewards of running a small business intimately, because we’re a small business too. It’s great to have this opportunity to work on a project which shines a spotlight on some of Australia’s most dynamic and talented self-employed creatives.”

The ‘We, The Brave,’ campaign will run from 1 July to 31 August 2019 across both Broadsheet and The Design Files.
