MYOB officially welcomes GreatSoft to the family

22 Jul 2021

Leading business management platform MYOB has today officially introduced GreatSoft Practice Management as part of its accounting software portfolio, following its acquisition of the cloud-based business earlier this year.

Highlighted at MYOB’s Showcase event for practice customers on the 22 July, GreatSoft will now sit within MYOB’s product range to offer larger practices, or practices with complex management needs, the opportunity to streamline their business through features including job management, timesheets and work in progress.

GreatSoft solutions will be offered by MYOB from 1 August, activating an opportunity for bigger accounting firms to explore augmented ways to run their practice, says MYOB Chief Sales and Support Officer Daniel West.

“We are thrilled to officially welcome the fantastic team at GreatSoft to the MYOB family. To combine MYOB’s compliance and business management suite with GreatSoft’s practice management capabilities presents an opportunity for bigger accounting practices to really level up their operations both inside and out.”

GreatSoft’s platform addresses six core requirements within an accounting firm: practice management, workflow and job management, mobility, CRM, compliance and document management.

“We like to call GreatSoft the ‘swiss army knife’ of practice management,” Mr West said at the MYOB Showcase event today.

“It’s particularly suited to customers who need the step before a full business management platform like MYOB Advanced.

“There are more than 700 standard reports and a Power BI dashboard that the practice can tailor to assist them in best supporting their needs. GreatSoft's single online database and reporting capabilities mean larger, more complex practices can efficiently manage multiple sites, locations or entities.

“Being cloud based it’s not reliant on a server and is secure and easy to access, as well as being available via mobile for working on the go,” Mr West said.

Today's announcement represents the first step for GreatSoft within the MYOB portfolio, with future discussions about possible integrations between GreatSoft and MYOB’s compliance and business management suite currently being explored.
