MYOB Team releases new features to benefit businesses with hourly employees

MYOB’s integrated employee management tool, MYOB Team, has this week launched to MYOB AccountRight and MYOB Essentials subscribers (excluding Essentials Payroll). Brand new team management functionality, designed specifically for industries with hourly employees, flows directly into the customer’s payroll software at no additional cost.

MYOB Team already offers time-tracking for mobile and tablet, easy rostering and three time capture modes: real time clock on/clock off, timesheets and timesheets with time billing. New features now added include geolocation for team members on the go. Time tracking data is shared directly to payroll software in real time.

MYOB’s Head of Product for Small Business, Dale Dixon, said the additional features available through MYOB Team will allow small businesses to manage their staff easily and quickly with less need for manual data entry, reducing risk of error.

“Not only do the features we’ve released in MYOB Team make it much easier to manage teams of employees, having that information sent directly to payroll software means the business owner and their accountant or bookkeeper can easily access crucial information without data entry or double handling.

“The solution saves time by creating rosters easily and reduces payroll error with time tracking and timesheet approval. It’s a useful integrated employee management tool, particularly for businesses that rely on shift work,” Mr. Dixon said.

Rosters and actual hours worked can be input directly into MYOB Team, now with added features including geolocation, where the location can be logged when employees start and finish a shift at another site.

“MYOB Team is customisable to cater for specific requirements, and the information captured can be shared with employees and employers, as well as the business’ accountant or bookkeeper.”

Employee onboarding and leave management are planned for future releases.
