MYOB unveils the Australian winners of its 2021 Partner awards

09 Dec 2021

Following what was another challenging year for many, this week MYOB celebrated the efforts of all of those at The Heart of Business via its 2021 Partner Awards – recognising and celebrating the efforts of organisations and individuals who have worked tirelessly to support small, medium and large businesses.

Moore Australia, Greenspace Bookkeeping and Lynne Spalding of Business Wellness Hub were announced by MYOB as the Australian winners.

Conducted in an online format for the second consecutive year, and in what is now the thirteenth year of the awards, the honours celebrate excellence within the bookkeeping and accounting community across three categories: Certified Consultant of the year, Accounting Practice of the year and Bookkeeping Practice of the year.

The Partner Awards nominations were reviewed and assessed by a judging panel of MYOB executives, including Chief Sales and Support Officer Daniel West, who says it is important to recognise the expert Partner work which often happens behind the scenes.

“This year’s winners provided trusted advice and services to businesses grappling with continued uncertainty. In many ways, they have been the unsung heroes advising businesses to adapt and thrive and in doing so, helping to support our economy.”

“For businesses, these trusted advisors have been a pillar of strength for clients during another period of change and challenge. And that’s why we’re delighted to be recognising the tenacity and excellence of those within MYOB’s community.”

Accounting Practice of the Year was awarded to Moore Australia, recognising a year of significant growth and systematic change throughout the business. As well as successfully introducing and executing a new growth strategy, Moore Australia supported its local community when they needed it most, including sponsorship and pro-bono arrangements for organisations of varying sizes.

Bookkeeping Practice of The Year was given to Greenspace Bookkeeping – a debut practice that commenced operation just this year. Thriving as a new business despite the impacts of the pandemic, it was born out of a desire to help SME businesses and accountants throughout Australia to offer a full-service to its clients without having to develop their own internal bookkeeping practices.

The Certified Consultant of the Year award recognised a business advisor whose expertise and holistic approach to supporting small business owners saw her clients find time to prioritise their personal lives throughout the pandemic. Owner of Business Wellness Hub, Lynne Spalding, led her team to develop a wellness add-on package to their bookkeeping subscription, which included meditation and movement to assist business owners navigate stress and anxiety.

MYOB also celebrated some of its longest-standing Partners with its annual Service Awards this year, recognising loyalty among its Certified Consultant community across Australia. This award recognised Certified Consultants who have partnered with MYOB for 10, 15, 20 or 25 years by the end of the 2021 calendar year.
